Fuel ethanol, methanol, and methyl acetate

Ethanol is blended with gasoline by refiners, and then sold at wholesale and retail fuel outlets. The renewable fuel content in gasoline is currently mandated or recommended in 64 countries* around the world. It usually represents between 5% and 10% ethanol. The number of governments establishing biofuels mandates constantly grows along with the demand for ethanol produced from non-food feedstock in these markets.

Enerkem sells directly to refiners, blenders and chemical producers. Our product portfolio currently includes bio-methanol, fuel ethanol (cellulosic) and biomethyl acetate. Other renewable chemicals and fuels are under development.

The company is also open to partnerships with industry leaders to implement facilities that utilize municipal solid waste to produce clean fuels and renewable chemicals. In addition to licensing its technology, Enerkem provides fully fabricated modular equipment and handles assembly on site.
