CIC/CGCEN Business Innovation Symposium

Dates: June 15, 2015.
Dr. Stéphane Marie-Rose, Project Manager, Syngas Upgrading, has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the CIC/CGCEN Business Innovation Symposium on June 15 from 12:20 p.m. to 2 p.m. He will discuss the evolution of Enerkem and its unique partnership with the City of Edmonton to build what is considered the very first collaboration between a waste-to-biofuels producer and a metropolitan centre to address waste disposal challenges and turn non-recyclable municipal solid waste into biofuels and renewable chemicals.
Solutions that fit the needs of business and the economy need to be aligned with societal goals of limiting adverse effects on health and the environment. How trade associations and professional organizations achieve this, as well as human resource forecasting, will be discussed at the Canadian Society for Chemistry’s symposium, highlighting important challenges and opportunities today and in the next 5-10 years.
