Written by Enerkem | Oct 10, 2013

"It's an honour to see our work being recognized by these authoritative groups.  The top-level granted by Lux Research is especially motivating for everyone at Enerkem," said Vincent Chornet, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our soon-to-be-launched full-scale commercial facility in Edmonton marks the first step of our growth in the global market of advanced biofuels and renewable chemicals."

Analysts at Lux Research combed through the 415 companies they profiled in the third quarter of 2013 to select 10 firms whose activity indicated near-term growth opportunities that large companies could capitalize on across the energy and infrastructure, health and wellness, and materials revolution global megatrends. Enerkem earned the top position among these ten companies.

The Cleantech Group, for its part, is a global research and advisory firm focused on innovation in energy and the environment.  Its Global Cleantech 100 list highlights the promise of private clean technology companies from all around the world, focusing on those companies which the players in the market feel are currently the most likely to make the most significant market impact over the next 5-10 years.

5,864 companies were nominated this year from 60 countries. These companies were weighted and scored to create a short list of 300 companies presented to a global 90-person expert panel for final input. The end result was 100 companies from 18 countries. The complete list of Global Cleantech 100 firms and expert panel members is available online. The full report by Cleantech Group is available for download at http://www.cleantech.com/gc100report/.
