Sustainable Methanol
Enerkem is building a project pipeline with new production capacity of 1,000,000 tonnes per year
Secure your sustainable methanol supply ahead of growing demand and tightening regulations

Helping hard-to-abate sectors reach their targets
Following the successful Final Investment Decision (FID) of the ECOPLANTA project, Enerkem is building a pipeline of new projects to produce 1,000,000 tonnes per year of sustainable methanol.
With the growing demand for methanol, we want to help hard-to-abate sectors secure their sustainable methanol supply to comply with net zero regulations and reduce their exposure to scarcity premiums.
We invite key players to express their anticipated needs for sustainable methanol.

Sustainable methanol in high demand
Net-zero targets demand innovative, versatile solutions, while increasing regulations add compliance costs. Hard-to-abate sectors need sustainable products like methanol for decarbonization.
Low-carbon methanol produced through Enerkem’s unique technology is:
- Sourced from sustainable feedstock
- Eligible for all global regulated markets (e.g., RED)
- Competitive with compliance costs in regulated markets

We will follow up to explore potential offtake opportunities related to Enerkem’s new developments. After signing an NDA, we’ll discuss pricing, timing, and partnership terms, aiming to finalize a non-binding letter of intent to secure your low-carbon supply. Confirming off-take interest is key to advancing development and securing methanol supply.
