Berta Cabello Calvo joined Enerkem’s Board of Directors in September 2025.
Ms. Cabello Calvo is the Renewable Fuels Director at Repsol, where she is responsible for current production and the development of new projects aimed at increasing the company’s renewable fuels and circular feedstock output.
Since 2020, she has played a key role in transforming Repsol’s industrial business, focusing on the decarbonisation of processes and products, energy efficiency, and digitalisation.
Ms. Cabello Calvo began her career at Repsol Technology Lab in 2001, developing simulation models for process monitoring and planning. In 2006, she joined the Refining Long-term Planning team, where she contributed to project development and technology evaluation. She then spent five years at ILBOC, the Repsol and SK joint venture in Cartagena, helping to launch the company and establish its operations. Afterwards, she returned to the Repsol Refining Planning team, this time with a greater focus on market analysis and its impact on Repsol’s refining system.
Berta Cabello Calvo holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
