Enerkem wins the ICIS Innovation Awards 2017

The independent judges of the ICIS Innovation Awards 2017 announced today that Enerkem has been selected as the winner in the Innovation with Best Benefit for Environment and Sustainability category, which highlight improved manufacturing processes or products, with reduced environmental impact.

The chemical industry and innovation can play a key role in addressing many of today’s environmental concerns, including global warming, pollution, recycling, water supply security and nutrition. The Innovation with Best Benefit for Environment and Sustainability category won by Enerkem recognizes the implementation of ideas relating to environmental performance and sustainability into the company’s product and process innovation.

Enerkem is quite familiar with the ICIS Innovation Awards. In 2015, the company was also a recipient of the ICIS Innovation Award in the Best Business Innovation category, which celebrates chemical companies driving innovative business beyond traditional product and process development.
