Prior to joining Enerkem, Mr. Auger was a partner at one of Canada's fastest-growing independent law firms, BCF LLP, where he also served as the co-chair of the Business & Technology Practice Group and was responsible for the firm's information technology operations. In his years as a legal practitioner, Mr. Auger gained considerable experience in the execution and management of activities related to intellectual property licensing, the establishment of joint ventures, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions. "I am pleased to welcome Jocelyn Auger to Enerkem. His deep knowledge of commercial transactions and trained insight into legal affairs will make valuable contributions to our growing company," said Vincent Chornet, Chief Executive Officer of Enerkem.

"By joining our team of seasoned managers, Mr. Auger will contribute to our success in charting a path forward in this growing market for advanced biofuels and green chemicals." Enerkem addresses some of today's main economic and environmental challenges by producing advanced biofuels and green chemicals locally from waste and residues. The company helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while contributing to a greener economy. Further, producing fuels locally rather than depending on foreign oil increases energy independence and saves on imports. Mr. Auger holds degrees from the Université de Sherbrooke and the European Academy of Legal Theory in Brussels. He is also a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Licensing Executive Society (LES).
