BBA rewarded for its contribution in the development of our facility Enerkem Alberta Biofuels (EAB)

As part of the 2016 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards gala, BBA was rewarded for their work with Enerkem on EAB. BBA is a consulting engineering services and project management firm with whom we work. Their technical excellence and contribution to the environment, social and economic life of local communities have been recognized. BBA won two awards: the Tree for Life Award and the 2016 Award of Excellence in the Natural Resources, Mining, Industry and Energy category. These two awards were for our ground breaking EAB project in Edmonton and demonstrate outstanding environmental stewardship or commitment to environmental protection. David Delisle and Nicolas Parke were present at the awards ceremony on October 25th in Ottawa.

The Awards of Excellence are bestowed to the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) member firms who have achieved the highest level of excellence in quality of engineering, innovation and societal benefit.

“Sound engineering and innovative solutions are key to transitioning from research and development to full-scale application. Given that the Enerkem Alberta Biofuels project is unique worldwide, it required an understanding of complex challenges as well as creative and environmentally friendly solutions, challenges that matched BBA’s expertise and these awards prove it,” said André Allaire, P. Eng., M. Eng., Ph. D., President.
