Marie-Hélène Labrie

Marie-Hélène Labrie was appointed to the Enerkem Board of Directors in January 2025.
Ms. Labrie is a board director and strategic advisor. An action-oriented businesswoman, she has 30 years of experience in government affairs, corporate communications, strategic planning, sustainability and ESG disclosure. She has worked for public and private companies, as well as for the federal public service, in telecommunications, cleantech and aerospace.
A seasoned executive, she was Senior Vice-President and Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Strategy Officer at Cogeco. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice-President, Global Government Affairs and Communications at Enerkem. Having begun her career with the federal public service in Ottawa, she has also worked as a business strategy consultant and held management positions at CAE.
Ms. Labrie currently sits on the boards of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Generate Canada, a pan-Canadian organization dedicated to sustainable growth, and Espace Inc., a business accelerator.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Business (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (B.A.A.) from Université Laval. She also holds a university certification in corporate governance (ASC, C.Dir.) from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés, as well as the Nature & Climate certification and designation CCB.D from Competent Boards.
