Fernando Alonso de la Vega joined the Enerkem Board of Directors in June 2022.
Fernando Alonso de la Vega is currently Executive Director of Planning, Special Projects and Circular Economy in Repsol’s Industrial Transformation and Circular Economy division with responsibility for consolidating and coordinating the company’s operations in these strategic sectors. Prior to this, Mr. Alonso was Executive Director of all Refining Operations in Spain.
Mr. Alonso holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He joined Repsol in 1994 as a project engineer specialized in refining and spent 17 years in technical and management positions within the Engineering and Maintenance division.
Later on, he joined Repsol’s headquarters where, as an Innovation Director, he promoted key transformational projects for Refining and Petrochemical businesses.
More recently, he served in various positions related to corporate services including information technologies, procurement, asset management and security. As Chief Digital and Information Officer, he was responsible for designing and launching Repsol’s Digital Program.
